Authors | : | Suliman Mohamed Mohamed Ali || Waleedfekryfaris || Ahmad Faris Ismail || Andsher Afghan Khan |
Abstract: This paper presents fined plate minichannel heat sink numerically under forced convection. Two geometries, flat plate and fined plat heat sinks have been drawn by solidworks, then imported to Starccm+ for simulation. The plate was 45 mm width and 55mm length and the fined heat sink has fins with 3 mm height and 1 mm thickness.Source load 325 W at the bottom of heat sink ad different volumetric flow rate 0.5, 0.75 and 1 liter per minute are used to simulate the microprocessor. The results have shown that fins heat sink has more heat transfer rate, 194.3 watts at 1liter per minute. Moreover, thermal resistance and base temperature reduced 58 % and 30.7 % compared to flat plate respectively. The results have shown excellent agreement with published experiments

Title | : | CFD Analysis of The Supersonic Nozzle Flow with Sudden Expansion |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Pathan Khizar Ahmed || P. S. Dabeer || S. A. Khan |
Abstract: This paper presents the Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) analysis to study the effect of area ratio and nozzle pressure ratio on the flow field of axi-symmetric sudden expansion from convergent-divergent nozzles to a circular duct of larger cross-sectional area than that of nozzle exit area. The study is focusing on the pressure and velocity distribution along axial length. The analysis is done by varying the area ratios and nozzle pressure ratios. The area ratios for the analysis are 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. The values of nozzle pressure ratios considered are 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. The results are plotted with the help to graphs. By observing all the results it can be concluded that the flow field in enlarged duct is much affected by area ratio

Authors | : | O.Y.Venkatasubbareddy || Palaiam Siddikali || S.Mahammad Saleem |
Abstract: Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is unique of the rapid prototyping methods that use the plastics materials for example ABS (Acrylonitrile – butadiene – styrene) in the semi molten state to harvest the products unswervingly from CAD model. FDM is an additive manufacturing method and the prototypes are made by layer by layer addition of semi-molten plastic material onto the platform from bottom to top. The design inspects the effect of the process parameters layer thickness, raster width, raster angle and air gap that affects the surface roughness of the part produced by the manner of Fused Deposition Modeling. Hence, the Optimization of these process parameters of FDM is able to make the system more specific.............

Authors | : | Dasari Deepika || M. Ahmed Ali Baig || A. Raji Reddy || D. Maneaih |
Abstract: Solar energy systems convert solar energy into useful energy. Design of solar systems is complicated because of the presence of both predictable and unpredictable parameters. Predictable parameters include performance characteristics of collectors and other components whereas unpredictable parameters include weather data such as solar radiation, ambient temperature which exhibits nonlinear behavior. This nonlinear dependence makes it difficult to analyze the performance by simply observing their response to short-term or average weather conditions...........

Abstract: Usage of electricity is increasing day-by-day, with limited fossil fuel. Researchers always like to explore other sources. Solar energy is one such source. Where in the sunlight is captured via solar cells which then transform heat energy to electrical energy to be store for consumption. With the rotation of earth, the direction of sun light changes throughout the day. Attempts are being made to rotate the solar panel by various means to capture maximum sunlight. In this paper we attempt to review the major work carried out in solar tracking system and also propose a novel method for tracking using GPS based infrastructure

Abstract: A flywheel is an inertial energy-storage device. In this paper totally all dimensions have found theoretically for required power 20 KW and it is rotating from 400 RPM to 410 RPM. Fly wheel are modeled in PRO/E 5.0 software and this is analyzed with considering at different time interval and different loading conditions have found from theoretically. Countering the requirement of smoothing out the large oscillations in velocity during the cycle of a mechanism system, a flywheel is designed and analyzed. In that four time intervals are considered like motion less, starting position, changing speed and constant speed. Weight reduction is major important and maintain minimum stresses, here another three type of flywheels have chosen like flywheel with extended hub support, rim type and elliptically rim type.

Authors | : | Dayadi Nageswararao || Gobbur Mukesh |
Abstract: Cylinder is the heart of internal combustion engine as combustion takes place inside the cylinder large amount of heat is produce inside the cylinder due to that heat distortion of cylinder wall may takes place. Due to inadequate heat transfer through the engine cylinder block the engine cylinder gets overheated, lead to knocking and some time result into structural failure. This also causes an increase in the thermal stresses in the liner wall which ultimately affects the strength of liner wall. The main objective of this paper is to carry out thermo structural analysis of combustion chamber (Liner) in Ansys workbench 15.0 to predict temperature distribution across the combustion.......

Authors | : | Mr. N. Uday Ranjan Goud || Dr. N. V. Swamy Naidu |
Abstract: Composite laminated plates are widely used in aerospace industries, ship industries and civil applications because of their high strength to weight ratio, high strength to stiffness ratio. It is essential to find the buckling strength of these plates as these are subjected to axial forces in practice. In the present study nonlinear analysis is carried out to find the buckling strength of laminated composite plates under axial compressive load using ANSYS. Standard tests were performed as per ASTM/BIS/BSI/ISO to find the buckling strength of the composite plate using nonlinear analysis. A stiffened composite plate was considered and nonlinear analysis to be performed on it and the weight and the load carrying capacity of the stiffened composite plate has to be compared with the results of the stiffened steel plate

Title | : | A Modern & Unique Approach for Fabrication of Reaction Bonded Silicon Carbide Composites Applied in USM |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr.B.James Prasad Rao || D.V.Srikanth |
Abstract: Reaction bounded silicon carbide(RBSC) composites are fully dense materials fabricated by pressure-less infiltration of molten silicon into compacted mixtures of silicon carbide and carbon. Free carbon is formed as a result of the pyrolysis of an organic resin, (the carbon source) and reacts with molten silicon to form secondary SiC grains that precipitate on the original SiC particles. Non-reacted residual silicon fills the free areas between the SiC grains. The presence of the residual silicon decreases the mechanical properties of the composites; moreover............

Title | : | Alternative Approach to Hybrid Powered Vehicles |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | G. Sai Kiran || Dr. S Madhava Reddy |
Abstract: This paper presents an alternative approach to conservative hybrid technology which is currently used in automobiles. Hybrid technology uses traditional engine in company with generator set to increase the efficiency from internal combustion(IC) vehicles, but alternatively the flywheels can be slightly modified to extract the energy and storing it in the battery (acting as a generator) while driving the automobile and later using this energy to drive the flywheel, thus powering the vehicle. This way of powering the vehicle by two different sources can increase the efficiency and making the automobile more environmentally friendly. In this substitute approach the flywheel of the engine can itself be used as a secondary power source, with necessary modifications, as a brushless DC motor/generator thus increasing the efficiency while decreasing the overall weight of the engine.
